Kristina Kvien, US ambassador to Armenia, referred to the accident that took place today in Syunik Province, as a result of which 2 people died and 5 were injured.
"I am deeply saddened to hear about the tragic deaths and injuries sustained by the servicemen in today’s car accident in Syunik. My heart goes out to the families affected by this devastating loss.
The service and dedication of these brave men to their country will live on in the hearts of all who knew them. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time," the Ambassador stated.
As it has been reported, today around 11 o'clock at 175 km of Yerevan-Meghri road near Gorayk village a Mitsubishi Grandis car driven by 39-year-old resident of Yerevan Artur Mnatsakanyan was involved in an accident. Under unknown circumstances, the driver drove out of the roadway, hit the roadside stones and turned over and ended up in a ravine.
