NATO's goal is to oppress Russia. It is a very serious threat to Russia's national security. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the results of the NATO Summit held in Washington.
"It is obvious that one of the main goals of the alliance is to suppress Russia, to deliver a strategic defeat. This obliges us to deeply analyze the adopted decisions, held discussions, to analyze the text of the adopted declaration very carefully. It is a very serious threat to the national security of our country," Peskov said during the briefing.
Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov, in his turn, noted: "The leaders of the alliance countries persist in their delusions and will be punished for it."
"It is regrettable that the alliance has no agenda, except for the issue related to its own hegemony or the ambition to dominate the world," said Ryabkov.
