There have been significant changes in Armenia's security posture, presence at borders, and airports, but in reality, the Prime Minister emphasizes that the Government must deliver results for its citizens now, today, and here, ensuring that citizens have confidence, and that confidence is lasting and enduring, reducing vulnerability to shocks, and minimizing dependence on any one partner or supply chain. USAID Administrator Samantha Power This stated, elaborating on details of her meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"I believe that the Prime Minister values human security and believes that just as our Government must, the Government here must do everything it can to develop the capacity to absorb shocks," she said.
According to Power, the meeting with the Prime Minister also highlighted Armenia's independence and resilience. Issues related to food security and the energy sector were discussed, with an emphasis on avoiding strategic vulnerabilities in the energy field.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by USAID Administrator Samantha Power.
