Turkey expects the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia as soon as possible, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.
"A historic opportunity for peace has been created in the South Caucasus. This is an opportunity not only for regional countries, but also in the context of unblocking international transport hubs, not only for the Turkic world, but also for global security. We hope that the process of signing the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be completed soon," Fidan said in his speech at the session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
According to him, Ankara is not satisfied with the position of a number of Western countries, which approve of Armenia and "ignore the concerns of Azerbaijan". Fidan reaffirmed that Turkey encourages Azerbaijan's position regarding the signing of the peace treaty.
