The United States and our allies are ready to facilitate negotiations, Senator Roger Wicker said in response to the question regarding the US position on the peace process with Baku.
"It is not in the interests of peace, and the United States cannot take a position on this issue, but we are ready to facilitate, mediate meaningful discussions as diplomats, and we certainly understand that your Գovernment and people have their position. We understand the conditions that were set at the beginning of the negotiation process, related to the historical borders, which were fixed at the time of the collapse of the former USSR. We are aware of the positions on these issues, and the role of our State Department and the representatives of the United States should try to help the negotiation process, but be just mediators and simply help the two sides come to an agreement," he said.
