SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Friday (June 28), Reuters reports.
The rocket carried a payload for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office, a government agency charged with designing and building spy satellites for the US.
Friday's launch was visible to across large swathes of Southern California.
