Military jets offered spectators a colourful flypast over the gardens of the touristic Versailles palace on Friday (June 28) to mark the 90th anniversary of the French airforce, Reuters reports.
The airforce, which has taken part in major conflicts including World War One, flew over the site for a show that lasted more than one hour.
The show included different airforce members, with parachutes, old and new planes parading over the palace while audience watched and cheered.
The event comes ahead of the Paris Olympic Games, which starts on July 26, during which the palace will host equestrian events.
