Washington is ready to host the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. James O'Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, announced this during his visit to Baku.
"It is about what will be most useful for both sides. I hope that the foreign ministers will find an opportunity to meet as soon as possible. If that happens in Washington, we'll be happy to welcome them in any role we can play. But there are many channels, and both sides maintain very effective direct communication. We participate in this process as friends," said O'Brien.
The diplomat also informed that the USA has invited Azerbaijan and Armenia to the meeting of partners within the framework of the NATO summit to be held in Washington.
