The procedure for Armenia's withdrawal from the organization was not discussed at the meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers. No relevant request was received from Yerevan. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov after the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO.
Answering the journalist's question about the possible consequences of Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO, Lavrov stated.
"Guessing is not a diplomatic tradition. Yes, Armenia's Minister was not present at the session today, but there was no document from Armenia, no official step, which would make it necessary to discuss the consequences of what happened."
