The permanent representatives of the member states of the European Union have in principle approved the framework of negotiations on the accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the EU. This was announced by the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council.
The EU accession negotiations of Ukraine and Moldova will officially begin on June 25.
"Ambassadors agreed in principle on the negotiating frameworks for the accession negotiations of Ukraine and Moldova. The Belgian presidency will call the first intergovernmental conferences on 25 June," the statement
reads.
