Air raid sirens sounded across cities in northern Israel on Thursday (June 13) and about 40 rockets had been fired from Lebanon in the afternoon, Israel's military said, Reuters reports.
State broadcaster Kan aired footage of numerous mid-air interceptions of rockets above Israeli towns, including in Safed, some 12 km (7.5 miles) from the border.
Videos posted on Telegram messaging app showed rockets being intercepted above Safed, and Golan Heights.
Reuters was able to confirm the locations of the videos from the nearby buildings, trees, roundabouts, road layouts, and mountains which matched satellite and file imagery of the areas.
Reuters was not able to independently confirm the date the videos were filmed.
