We can confidently state that the funds for scientific and technological development, which we directed to the field of military industry, have yielded results, Armenian Parliament's Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan said during the discussion of the 2023 state budget performance.
"This is expressed first of all by the fact that the defense department has been provided with three-year contracts last year, this year and next year, and AMD 90 billion [over $230,769,230] worth of purchases have already been made," he said.
According to Hakob Arshakyan, the helper in this matter was the political will and, first of all, the Prime Minister's direct instruction and leadership that Armenia should become a military-industrial developed country.
"I want to especially mention the efforts of the Military Industry Committee, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the efforts of our military industrialists, who in many cases even took risks and signed contracts, the outcome of which was very risky," he said.
