During today's meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the heads of state emphasized the successful development of fraternal, friendly and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The parties discussed the expansion of energy, transport, economic, trade relations between the two countries, issues of cooperation in defense, military-industrial and other fields. The expansion of the possibilities of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the importance of the joint activities of the two countries in the development of the Middle Corridor were noted.
Erdogan and Aliyev once again emphasized the further development of the Organization of Turkic States and the cooperation between the member countries of the organization.
The two presidents exchanged ideas on regional and international issues at the meeting.
Erdogan also congratulated Aliyev on the occasion of holding COP29 in Azerbaijan and accepted the invitation to participate in the event.
