"The U.S. Embassy to Armenia expresses its heartfelt sympathy with Armenia and its people following the deadly floods in Lori and Tavush," the statement comes frome the US Embassy in Yerevan.
Floods caused by heavy rains in Lori and Tavush provinces caused an emergency situation. Collapses of sidewalks and bridges, flooding in buildings, basements, blockages in water, flooded houses and cattle sheds, blocked roads, casualties are also known. These are the first summary data about the cases caused by the flooding of the Debed, Aghstev, and Tashir rivers after yesterday's heavy rain in Lori and Tavush provinces, in Yerevan.
In order to manage the emergency situation, by the decision of Prime Minister Pashinyan, an operational headquarters was formed under the leadership of Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan.
