Congressman Brad Sherman said he received commitment from State Secretary to work on providing humanitarian assistance, including to the people from Nagorno-Karabakh. Blinken participated in hearing of US House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs on the FY25 Department of State Budget Request.
“I received a commitment from Secretary Blinken that the administration will work to ensure that the $9 billion in humanitarian aid provided by Congress will be allocated based on where there's the most urgent need – Tigray, Rohingya, Artsakh, Sudan - rather than the most publicity”, Sherman said in a post on X.
