Claude Wiseler, Chairman of Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies, made a speech at the National Assembly today. The politician demanded Baku to immediately release all prisoners of war. He also stated that Luxembourg is committed to supporting the EU mission in Armenia and is ready to further develop this mission within the interests of both sides.
Baku was upset by the statements made in Armenia by the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The Parliament of Azerbaijan called them biased and absurd. Baku accused the representatives of Luxembourg of allegedly showing a 'French-style' approach to the South Caucasus region. In the Parliament of Azerbaijan, they expressed an opinion that Luxembourg distorts the processes taking place in the region, makes demands to Azerbaijan and disrupts the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process.
