The beginning of the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border gives hope for the signing of a peace treaty between the two countries.
According to the TASS agency, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced this during the opening ceremony of the hydroelectric power plant located on the Araks River on the Iran-Azerbaijani border, which was also attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
"Currently, the process of determining the borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia is underway, it is a hopeful event, it inspires hope that after a long break between Azerbaijan and Armenia, a peace treaty can be concluded," Aliyev said.
The President of Azerbaijan also welcomed Tehran's support in signing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
