On May 17 in Strasbourg, the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers decided to
address the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, " expressing full support to the peace process based on the principles of mutual recognition of territorial integrity, respect of sovereignty, the inviolability of borders, and non-use of force, and welcomed the process of border delimitation based on the Alma Ata 1991 Declaration."
The mentioned protocol was reflected in the text of the decisions adopted under the title 'United around our values' for the purpose of 'Implementation of the Reykjavik Declaration', which have binding legal force for the member states. This was stated by Ani Badalyan, Spokesperson of Armenia's Foreign Ministry.
