After tête-à-tête and enlarged meetings between the President of Turkey and the Prime Minister of Georgia, the parties held a joint press conference.
Turkish President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and noted that the work of resuming the railway at full capacity is ongoing.
Erdogan said that Turkey and Georgia cooperate in other important infrastructure and energy projects.
Armenian-Azerbaijani relations were also touched upon during the briefing. The President of Turkey considered the peace treaty to be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia to be a historic opportunity.
"We believe that the two countries will eventually reach a peace treaty," said the head of Turkey.
