Poland begins construction of fortifications on the border with Belarus. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who recently visited the republic’s border with neighboring Belarus.
As the head of the Polish government notes, there is hope that the European Union will help the country with financing the construction of fortifications. But, in any case, even without the European Union, Poland itself demonstrates its readiness for a further deterioration of relations with the neighboring country and does not hide its aggressive intentions.
Belarus, we recall, is a member of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization). Therefore, in the event of further aggressive actions on the part of Poland or other states, it can count on the help of both the Russian Federation and other countries participating in this military-political organization.
Currently, the Polish authorities are concentrating on the border with Belarus a large number of forces and means of ground forces and aviation. New military formations are being created in the country, which, of course, will be stationed on its eastern borders.
It is noteworthy that Poland presents its militaristic preparations as concern for its own security, supposedly from possible “aggression” by Russia or Belarus. And this despite the fact that both Moscow and Minsk have repeatedly stated the absence of any territorial claims against the Polish state and plans to enter into conflict with countries that are part of the North Atlantic Alliance.
