US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby visited Shushi and Fizuli with his wife. It was mentioned in the message of the American representation. On the spot, the Ambassador met with government representatives and educators. Libby stated that they prepared the visit for about two months. "I'm glad it finally happened. As long as we have such willing partners in Azerbaijan, the US will continue to work to support the economic development of this country," the Ambassador added.
To remind, two days ago, Libby addressed the question of why he is not going to Shushi in a conversation with the Azerbaijani media. “I don't want to be a part of a show that someone, somewhere has put on. That's why when the time comes to do it, I will go, now I'm not ready," the Ambassador said.
