The pro-Kurdish Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party, represented in the Turkish parliament, issued a statement on the occasion of the 109th anniversary of April 24, 1915.
It was mentioned in it: "It is extremely important to live peacefully and in equal conditions together with the Armenian people and our Armenian citizens, one of the ancient peoples of these lands and geography. At the same time, the development of diplomatic, commercial, economic and cultural relations with the state of Armenia, which is a part of our geography, is both the need and benefit of the peoples, and the way to peace building in the Caucasian region.
As the ancient peoples of Anatolia and Mesopotamia, we once again share the pain and mourning of 109 years, the Great Disaster, we feel this human tragedy deep in our hearts, once again we remember with pain and respect those who lost their lives during that time."
