On April 24, Armenia's Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan visited Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex with HRD staff to pay tribute to the memory of the victims of Armenian Genocide.
The members of the Public Council on the Rights of Children and Youth adjunct to the Human Rights Defender also participated.
Impunity for any crime inevitably breeds new crimes, Manasyan said this during her visit to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Day.
The defender noted that even today there is a danger of new genocides and crimes against humanity in different corners of the world.
According to her, the failure to condemn the Genocide also led to the forced displacement of the ethnic Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh in 2023, the torture they suffered, including torture, mutilation of bodies, targeting of civilians.
"I consider it very important that all this be addressed and receive a proper assessment," she said.
