Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, stated that Baku has a positive assessment of the Aliyev-Putin meeting held yesterday in Moscow.
"The negotiations took place in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance relations. Issues of bilateral cooperation were on the agenda: politics, economy, trade, investments, humanitarian and other issues," the official explained.
According to him, the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan instructed the representatives of the governments to take the necessary steps to implement the project of the North-South international transport corridor.
Hajiyev informed that Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev also discussed the negotiations on a possible peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"Aliyev highly appreciated the role and efforts of Russia in this case," added the assistant of the Azerbaijani President.
