In response to the reports being disseminated on social media platforms and mass media, the National Security Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia (RA) informs that the Baghanis-Voskepar motorway has been closed in order to ensure the demining work being carried out in the adjacent area and to prevent the people from entering the nearby landmine areas, in order to ensure their safety.
"Border delimitation work is planned today in the Baghanis-Voskepar sector. We inform also that the reports that any part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia will be handed over to Azerbaijan is not true. We emphasize that no change in the Armenia-Azerbaijan line of contact is planned today. After the delimitation of the border, the protection of the border line will be handed over to the RA border guard troops," the NSS of Armenia noted in its statement released Tuesday.
