On April 22, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on a working visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He was welcomed by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and other officials at Moscow's 'Vnukovo-2' International Airport.
As reported by the press service of the Kremlin, during the meeting of Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Putin and Aliyev in Moscow, "the parties plan to consider the key issues of the further development of the Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership and allied relations, as well as to exchange opinions on current regional issues."
In addition, the leaders of the two countries will meet with veterans of the construction of the Baikal-Amur highway, the construction of which was supervised by Ilham Aliyev's father, Heydar Aliyev (then the first deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR).
