Georgian authorities are ready to revise the law 'On transparency of foreign influence' if the European Union decides to accept the country into its ranks. Irakli Garibashvili, head of the ruling Georgian Dream party, announced this.
"If we are told that tomorrow we will become a member of the European Union, then it will be possible to very easily cancel it, revise, transform or adopt a new one," said Garibashvili.
Yesterday, Peter Stano, Lead Spokesman for the EU's Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, stated that the bill does not comply with the principles of the European Union and may have consequences for the country's accession to the Union.
