Azerbaijan responded to the recall of the French Ambassador from Baku.
"Baku's actions and official statements to Paris have always been only a response to France's destructive activities. Despite the slanderous campaign against our country, we have always kept the doors of dialogue open," stated the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
Earlier it became known that Paris recalled its Ambassador to Azerbaijan for consultations. According to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, French President Emmanuel Macron made such a decision "in the background of the continuous actions of Azerbaijan in recent months, which harm the bilateral relations between Paris and Baku".
The Elysee Palace said that it expects to receive a clarification from Azerbaijan regarding Baku's position.
Recently, the head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Ali Nagiyev, announced that the French intelligence services are creating a spy network that threatens Azerbaijan's national security.
