The number of residential buildings affected by spring floods in Russia has climbed to 15,600 with almost 28,000 garden plots flooded, the emergency services told TASS.
"As of the morning of April 15, 27,993 garden plots and 15,641 residential buildings have been flooded in 193 localities in 33 Russian regions as a result of spring floods," a source in the emergency services said.
According to the source, 3,109 residential buildings and 4,013 garden plots have been flooded over the past 24 hours. In particular, the residences have been affected in the Orenburg, Samara, Kurgan and Omsk regions. The most complex flood situation remains in the Orenburg Region.
