Reuters. Russia and China have agreed to begin a dialogue on security in the Eurasian region, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday (April 8) after talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
"The task of forming Eurasian security arises," Lavrov said at a televised press conference after the talks. "And my Chinese friends and I agreed to begin a dialogue with the involvement of our other like-minded people on this issue."
Lavrov also said that Russia and China would continue their anti-terrorist cooperation.
When asked about reported drone attack on the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine, Lavrov said that Russia would seek an 'honest assessment' of the attacks from the UN's nuclear watchdog IAEA and would raise the matter at the UN Security Council.
