Before the Pashinyan-Blinken-Von Der Leyen meeting expected in Brussels on April 5, the false news of the Azerbaijani side about the movement of Armenian troops on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border aims to create legitimate grounds for provocative actions. Armen Khachatryan, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs of the National Assembly, announced this during a briefing.
According to him, if 1-2 years ago Azerbaijan managed to carry out this informational provocation, today it is impossible in the presence of EU observers. Khachatryan also emphasized that Armenia will continue to follow the path of peace.
"Azerbaijan is doing everything to abort the peace. Nobody said that, look, Azerbaijan is a peace-loving country, doing everything to make you go... And Azerbaijan's statements are mostly false or they are forced to make such statements after certain geopolitical processes or after certain pressures. This is very simple. But Armenia will definitely follow the path of peace, and we will force peace. Azerbaijan should be constructive. Azerbaijan should be forced to return to the constructive field and take into account the circumstances with which it has to take into account. It should be taken into account that Armenia is a sovereign country, a democratic country," he said.
Khachatryan also mentioned that today very serious reforms are being made in Armenia's Armed Forces, which is not very visible, but after a certain time there will be such an army that will have the opportunity to ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.
"Now everyone understands the provocations of Azerbaijan, it is doing everything to stop the development of Armenia, Azerbaijan is not a country that can disregard the opinion of the whole world," he said.
