Armenia continues to be a full member of the CSTO and is bound to the organization by signed documents. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the briefing.
"Among other things, the CSTO charter and the corresponding protocol signed by the leaders in 2011 stipulate that CSTO members can decide to deploy third-country troops and external infrastructure facilities on their territory only after urgent consultations.
As for the possible consequences in case of breach of obligations, it can be about stopping the participation of the state in the activities of the CSTO bodies, it can also be the exclusion from the association," Zakharova stated.
