U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken departed for Paris on Monday (April 1) as part of a five-day trip to France and Belgium, Reuters reports.
According to a State Department statement, Blinken will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris to discuss global issues, including support for Ukraine, preventing the spread of conflict in Gaza, and stabilizing Haiti.
In Brussels, the Secretary of State will attend the NATO foreign ministers' meeting, which coincides with NATO's 75th anniversary on 4 April, and meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
The Secretary will also visit the Belgian city of Leuven, where he will participate in the 6th U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council.
