Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Belarus is preparing for war, but Minsk does not want to fight.
“Don’t believe that we want to fight; we are preparing for war. I am now honest with you. They say, if you want peace, prepare for war. It is not me who said this,” Lukashenko noted.
According to him, relevant military units are now being trained in the country, and troops are being armed with various types of weapons and equipment.
“If someone over there howls and criticizes us, know that we are doing the right thing. If they start to praise us, it will be a disaster,” the Belarusian president said.
According to Lukashenko, Minsk is not threatening anyone. “We don’t need to threaten anyone; we don’t want other people’s lands. May God give us the opportunity to cultivate our own land,” he concluded.
