According to the latest figures provided by the Investigative Committee, more than 60 people died in the terrorist attack. The death toll may rise, the Investigative Committee noted.
Some 115 people were hospitalized, including 5 children, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said. More than 30 people have requested ambulatory care.
Sixty people are in severe condition. Almost all surgeries necessary have been performed, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said.
Investigators, criminologists and experts of the department, together with the operative divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, continue investigative operations at the scene.
An examination of the bodies is being carried out. The death toll has been confirmed to be over 60.
Physical evidence, including weapons and ammunition, is seized from the scene, and the necessary expertise, including genetic and ballistic, is performed.
Video surveillance footage is also being examined.
