On Monday night, Russia launched 22 Shahed attack drones in the direction of Ukraine, 17 of which were shot down, the Air Force of Ukraine reported. According to the information presented by the department, drones were shot down in Kyiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia and Rivne oblasts.
In addition, as stated in the morning message, the Russian Armed Forces hit the Kharkiv oblast with five С-300/С-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and the Sumy oblast with two X-59 guided aviation missiles. Russia has not commented on these data.
For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian forces have been attacking Russian territories for a long time, over three dozen drones have been destroyed in the last day. According to the department, drones were shot down, in particular, in Moscow, Belgorod, Kaluga, Oryol, Rostov, Yaroslavl, and Kursk oblasts. Peaceful residents were killed and injured, residential facilities were damaged. Most of the drones were shot down in the Krasnodar Territory, the report states. A fire broke out after a drone fell on an oil refinery in Slavyansk, one person was killed.
According to information, fighting is going on in some parts of the Russia-Ukraine border, and there are casualties among the military.
