Luis Bono, Senior Advisor for Negotiations in the Caucasus of the US Department of State, will visit Azerbaijan this week, the US Embassy in Baku reported.
"During his visit, Senior Adviser on Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono will meet with high-ranking officials of Azerbaijan to discuss efforts to reach a lasting peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia," the embassy said in a statement.
On March 13, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received the US Senior Adviser on Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono. The interlocutors discussed issues related to the security situation in the South Caucasus. Reference was made to the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including the discussions on the peace treaty.
