Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia, Special Representative of Armenia on the issue of relations with Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan, responded to the allegations regarding the, so-called, ‘Zangezur Corridor’ during the panel discussion of the Diplomacy Forum started in Antalya, Turkey.
There is no territorial unit named ‘Zangezur’ in Armenia, there is Syunik region, Meghri city, etc., said Rubinyan.
“Armenia’s position regarding the unblocking of all infrastructures in the South Caucasus is clear, it is presented in the ‘Crossroads of Peace’. It is based on the principles that all the infrastructures that existed in the Soviet times and will be put into operation will be operated under the conditions of the countries' sovereignty, jurisdiction, equality and reciprocity,” said Rubinyan.
He also referred to the issue of leaving the EAEU and noted that there is no such issue on Armenia’s agenda.
