Maria Zakharova commented on the statement of Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, that despite the presence of Russian forces near the village of Nerkin Hand in Syunik, they could not prevent the latest incident.
"We evaluate such statements as extremely negative. There are no Russian military personnel in the territory of Nerkin Hand settlement, according to the agreement with the Armenian side, in 2021, a FSB border guard station was deployed there. We consider the attempts to blacken our representatives ineffective. For more than 30 years, Russian border guards have been providing security at the border and in the republic and have repeatedly proven their demand," said Zakharova.
