In the first phase, we discussed and approved the working procedure, which described, in fact, the way of summarizing and organizing the results of our contacts, approved by the two governments. Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said this during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, responding to the question of Sergey Bagratyan, deputy of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, at what stage are the demarcation and delimitation works and what road map exists.
“At this stage, we are discussing the regulation of joint activities, which will contain a more methodological description, and when we finish these works, we, both countries, will put the draft document into domestic circulation, depending on the content, what will be described, what consensus we will reach, accordingly, that document will be circulated as a draft law.
If we stay within the framework of our principled positions and our work and logic of the draft document derive from the declaration of Alma Ata, we can have a draft regulation within two to three months that will contain a work methodology.
After confirming the methodology, of course, the actual process of both delimitation and demarcation will take a lot of time, but, nevertheless, it will be clear to all of us what we are dealing with,” said Mher Grigoryan.
