The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shyhal, in Kyiv, and discussed issues related to the allocation of 50 billion euros of aid.
"Good meeting with Denys Shmyhal. We discussed next steps on the €50 billion Ukraine Facility. The 1st payment of €4.5 bn will come in March. We discussed how to deal with Ukrainian exports and tackle issues at the land border. And our joint work on the defence industry," von der Leyen wrote in X (former Twitter).
