An Armenian delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, participated in the Eleventh Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development, in Bangkok on Tuesday and Wednesday.
During the opening ceremony of this forum, Kostanyan was elected its vice-chairman, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reports.
On the same day, the Armenian deputy FM delivered an address at a high-level panel discussion during this forum.
In his speech, Kostanyan presented the challenges faced by Armenia in recent years under the conditions of the situation in its region, the Armenian ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan, and the instability of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, which have created additional problems on the road to the realization of sustainable development goals by Armenia.
Also, the deputy FM of Armenia presided over the forum's session dedicated to the Future Summit, during which reference was made to the Future Pact to be adopted as a result of this summit.
In addition, Vahan Kostanyan had several meetings within the framework of the Eleventh Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development.
