The President of Azerbaijan and the Foreign Minister of Turkey met within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.
Ilham Aliyev and Hakan Fidan discussed bilateral relations, expressed willingness to deepen cooperation in all fields. Developments in the South Caucasus, Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, peace treaty negotiations and regional security issues were on the agenda of the officials.
Aliyev also met with Acting Chairman of the OSCE, Ian Borg. According to the Azerbaijani side, Ilham Aliyev expressed the opinion that a number of OSCE mechanisms, such as the Minsk Group, should be abolished, because, according to him, they are a remnant of the past.
He also stated: "The Karabakh conflict has already been resolved, and the process of regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is bilateral in nature.
