The President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev received the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan being on an official visit in Bulgaria.
Addressing the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Alen Simonyan thanked him for warm reception to the delegation of Armenia and constructive dialogue.
The President of Bulgaria noted that despite the Armenian-Bulgarian close inter-state relations, there is unrealized great potential of cooperation in the industrial, trade-economic, cultural and other spheres.
“The Armenian community has a great contribution to the cultural, scientific and educational life of Bulgaria, and we’ll be glad to develop the bilateral cooperation with Armenia in this and other spheres,” the President of Bulgaria noted.
Touching upon the democratic institutional reforms and the Armenia-EU relations, Rumen Radev highly appreciated the faithfulness of Armenia to European values and underscored that Bulgaria is always ready to support Armenia.
The RA NA President Alen Simonyan presented to the President of Bulgaria the Crossroads of Peace project and the problems that Armenia faces in establishing peace and long-lasting security in the South Caucasus region.
Rumen Radev expressed his concern about the last military actions in the region and assured that Bulgaria will do its best for promoting establishment of peace.
“Despite all challenges, Armenia is faithful to the process of peace, and in this context we also expect the support of Bulgaria,” Alen Simonyan underscored.
The possibilities of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the spheres of education, culture, infrastructures, tourism, military, trade and economy were discussed at the meeting.
