Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov did not rule out Russia's withdrawal from the OSCE in his speech at the "government hour" of the State Duma, RIA Novosti reports.
"As for leaving the OSCE, that issue has not been discussed yet, but it is hanging in the air," Lavrov said.
On February 13, the State Duma called to suspend the participation of the Russian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Earlier, the Chairman of the OSCE, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani said that the organization is talking about expelling Russia for violating the fundamental principle of the OSCE. However, he considered the issue closed, explaining that the decisions of the organization are adopted on the principle of unanimity. While there are internal disagreements, some consider the OSCE a platform for dialogue between countries with opposing positions.
