Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged the Israeli government to recognise the existence of an independent Palestine during his address at the World Governments Summit in Dubai.
He said that Israel's war on Gaza could not be over until the "right diagnosis" of the conflict is made and added that a lasting peace in the region only comes by Israeli stopping to pursue "its expansionist dreams".
The Turkish leader also regretted the current difficult situation that UNRWA suffers after some countries halted funding the UN organization claiming some of its members were involved in the Hamas 7 October attack, according to Israeli authorities' allegations.
