On February 12, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly Sargis Khandanyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to our country Edite Medne (Residence, Tbilisi).
Welcoming the guest, Sargis Khandanyan highlighted the activation of the parliamentary relations with Latvia, the active contacts and the effective cooperation between the Friendship Groups.
The Committee Chair presented the security situation in the region, spoke about the Crossroads of Peace project elaborated by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
At the meeting Sargis Khandanyan also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, and its reasons for delay.
Sargis Khandanyan noted that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia continue the implementation of democratic reforms in a number of spheres.
