The events of September of last year did not happen just like that, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated, expressing his opinion that they were a consequence of the results of the Prague summit.
"Now Karabakh is being integrated into the legal framework of Azerbaijan," the Russian diplomat said in an interview with TASS.
According to Galuzin, due to the radical change in the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the conditions for the stay of Russian peacekeepers are discussed only with the Azerbaijani side.
"It should be noted that the dialogue with our partners is constructive. We resolve all arising issues in a mutually acceptable manner. As for the extension of the powers of the Russian peacekeeping troops after November 2025, it will depend on the situation in the region, the demand for their further presence and the relevant agreements with Baku," said the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.
