At 19:00 local time, voting for the snap presidential election in Azerbaijan ended. The process of counting votes started.
Voting started at 08:00. Preliminary results are scheduled to be released at 9:00 p.m.
About 800 foreigners and 90 thousand local observers followed the elections. In addition to the local press, about 200 foreign journalists were accredited. The local press has already spoken about gross violations of the electoral process.
The most common violations were the 'carousel (merry-go-round) - the re-voting of the same person in different precincts. There have also been cases of removal of observers accredited by the CEC of Azerbaijan from polling stations.
