President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is in Hungary on an official visit, met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The parties discussed the promotion of sectoral cooperation between the two countries and the full realization of their existing potential. They reflected on the possibilities of expanding bilateral cooperation in economy, education, culture, and several other domains.
The interlocutors conferred about regional and global security issues, too. In this connection, the President reaffirmed Armenia's principled position of achieving stable and lasting peace and forming neighborly relations with its neighbors.
Views were exchanged also on the protection of Christian and cultural heritage in the region.
The parties underscored the deepening of the productive partnership between Armenia and the European Union (EU), and stressed the importance of continuity of further steps towards the protection of democracy and democratic values.
In addition, the President of Armenia and the Prime Minister of Hungary emphasized that one of the important keys to the further development of bilateral relations is the cooperation between the business circles of the two countries and the investment of efforts to establish new ties between them.
